Merle Grimme pokazuje w swoim filmie, jak nie powinno się tego robić, jak deklarowane wyczulenie na wszelką dyskryminację czy uprzedzenia nie przekłada się na działanie i jak trudne jest autentyczne porozumienie i współpraca. Reżyserka wprowadziła przy tym do swego filmu mnóstwo humoru, przez co poruszane problemy, takie jak różne podejścia do feminizmu, tożsamości, rasy czy wyzysku pracowniczego śledzi się z wypiekami na twarzy i ogląda z dużą uważnością.

BIOGRAM REŻYSERKI:

Merle Grimme – niemiecka reżyserka, scenarzystka i producentka. Ukończyła licencjat ze sztuki na Uniwesytecie w Hildesheim oraz studiowała film dokumentalny w Wyższej Szkole Telewizji i Filmu w Monachium. Film “W różności boje” jest jej projektem dyplomowym, w którym rozwijała antydyskryminacyjny i włączający model produkcji, aby przezwyciężać nierówności w branży filmowej.

DESCRIPTION:

What happens when we bring women from different backgrounds and cultures, feminists, activists, successful women, representatives of the working class, together in one place to develop a manifesto on diversity? In her film, Merle Grimme shows how this should not be done, how a declared sensitivity to any kind of discrimination or prejudice does not translate into action and how difficult it is to come to an authentic understanding and cooperation. The director has also incorporated a great deal of humour into her film, so that the issues raised, such as the different approaches to feminism, identity, race and labour exploitation, are followed with bemusement and close attention.

DIRECTOR’S BIO:

Merle Grimme is a German director, writer and producer. She holds a BA in art from the University of Hildesheim and studied documentary filmmaking at the University of Television and Film in Munich. This movie is her graduation project, in which she developed an anti-discriminatory and inclusive production model to overcome inequalities in the film industry.
