1645 r., Gwadelupa. Kobieta w ciąży, sprzedana jako nastolatka na plantację białych, ucieka przez dżunglę przed swoim panem. Po drodze spotyka czarnego niewolnika, który odbiera poród i razem z nią rusza w kierunku wyspy, na której mają nadzieję odnaleźć wolność.

Anne-Sopie Nanki – afro-karaibska reżyserka i scenarzystka. Ukończyła studia z zakresu filmu i teatru na Uniwersytecie Sorbonne-Nouvelle. W swoich filmach skupia się na doświadczeniach ludzi często pomijanych, mniejszościach rasowych, etnicznych i religijnych żyjących na marginesie społeczeństwa i historii.

DESCRIPTION:
1645, Guadeloupe. A pregnant woman, sold as a teenager to a white plantation, escapes through the jungle from her master. On the way, she meets a black slave who delivers the baby and together they set off towards the interior of the island where they hope to find freedom.
DIRECTOR’S BIO:
Anne-Sopie Nanki is an Afro-Caribbean director and screenwriter. She holds a degree in film and theatre from Sorbonne-Nouvelle University. Her films focus on the experiences of often overlooked people, racial, ethnic and religious minorities living on the margins of society and history.
