Do filmu dodane jest czytanie poezji na żywo, które pogłębia, rozwija lub podkreśla jego społeczne, polityczne i kulturowe tematy. Koniec filmu staje się więc dopiero początkiem dalszej refleksji. Projekt został założony w 2018 roku przez Inuę Ellamsa i łączy dwie formy sztuki – poezję i film – tworząc unikalne doświadczenie artystyczne.

Opis filmu: Medytacyjny film nakręcony w Afryce Zachodniej (Karaiby) i w Europie. To wciągająca wizualna mozaika łączącą portrety, cinéma vérité i performans. Bada dziedzictwo i złożoność afrykańskiej ekspresji kulturowej w diasporze poprzez ruch/taniec, liryzm, duchowość i muzykę.
Do tej pory Inua współpracował z ponad sześćdziesięcioma poetami i VJ-ami, prezentując ten projekt publiczności na całym świecie. Podczas tego wydarzenia wiersze wraz z Inuą zaprezentują Arlo Wat, D’Chaos, Panashe Chipomho oraz Trovania Delille.
Projekt zostanie zaprezentowany w Polsce po raz pierwszy.

Film screening combined with live poetry reading

The film is accompanied by live poetry readings that deepen, expand, or highlight its social, political, and cultural themes. The end of the film thus becomes only the beginning of further reflection. The project was founded in 2018 by Inua Ellams and brings together two art forms — poetry and film — creating a unique artistic experience.

Film description:
A meditative film shot in West Africa (the Caribbean) and Europe. It is an immersive visual mosaic blending portraits, cinéma vérité, and performance. It explores the heritage and complexity of African cultural expression in the diaspora through movement/dance, lyricism, spirituality, and music.
So far, Inua has worked with over sixty poets and VJs, presenting this project to audiences around the world. During this event, the poems will be performed alongside Inua by Arlo Wat, D’Chaos, Panashe Chipomho, and Trovania Delille.
The project will be presented in Poland for the first time.
