Życie społeczności Vezo zamieszkującej północno-zachodnią część Madagaskaru od pokoleń było ściśle związane z morzem, z którego żyli wraz z całymi rodzinami. Wszystko zmieniło się wraz z pojawieniem się wielkich trawelerów przeławiających morza i zagranicznych firm, które za bezcen wykupują tamtejsze ziemie, by czerpać z nich zyski. Dokument pokazuje problem australijskiej firmy wydobywającej piasek mineralny na Madagaskarze, która zamierza zbudować ogromny port na plaży Andabay, miejscu świętym dla Vezo. Miejscowa ludność nie zamierza oddać ziemi swych przodków bez walki, będzie protestować i walczyć o swoje prawa do końca.

For generations, the life of the Vezo community in north-west Madagascar has been closely linked to the sea, thanks to which they and their families have managed to survive. Everything has changed with the emergence of large trawlers overfishing the seas and foreign companies buying up the land for pennies in order to profit from it. The documentary shows the problem of an Australian company mining mineral sand in Madagascar, which intends to build a huge port on Andabay Beach, a place sacred to the Vezo people. The local people do not intend to give up their ancestral land without a fight, they will protest and battle for their rights to the end.

Nantenaina Lova – malgaski reżyser, absolwent socjologii i studiów humanitarnych we Francji, ukończył także Szkołę Filmową w Toulouse, od 2008 r. właściciel “Endemika Film”, która jest jedną z niewielu firm zajmujących się kinem na Madagaskarze. Autor takich dokumentów jak “Zanaka Thus Spoke Felix” (2019), “Lakana” (2018) i “Ada Gasy” (2014).
Nantenaina Lova – Malagasy director, graduate of sociology and humanitarian studies in France; he also graduated from the Toulouse Film School; since 2008 – the owner of „Endemika Film”, which is one of the few cinema companies in Madagascar. Author of such documentaries as „Zanaka Thus Spoke Felix” (2019), „Lakana” (2018) and „Ada Gasy” (2014).
