But how to do that without being able to meet their wives? The solution is to smuggle sperm, with the help of bribed guards. Amira was conceived in just such a way. Raised in the cult of her imprisoned father, she will have to verify her identity when, as a teenager, she discovers that not everything went according to plan when she was conceived. Amir Diab’s film is a compelling individual drama and an original take on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
