„BAXU I GIGANCI” reż Florian Schott
Baxu to dziewięcioletnia dziewczynka, mieszkająca z bratem i babcią w wiosce w Namibii. I chociaż żyją skromnie i nie omijają ich problemy, to wzajemna troska i miłość dają im szczęście. Wszystko zmienia się, gdy pewnego dnia do wioski przyjeżdżają podejrzani mężczyźni szukający rogów nosorożców. Czy Baxu posłucha “gigantów sawanny”, z którymi rozmawia w snach, i podejmie trudną decyzję?
FLORIAN SCHOTT – reżyser urodzony w Niemczech, od 2009 r. mieszka w Namibii. Od 2002 r. pracował jako asystent reżyserów w Europie, Ameryce Północnej, a nawet na Antarktyce. W swoim portfolio ma liczne projekty, od seriali telewizyjnych po reżyserowanie dla niemieckiej telewizji. Autor filmu krótkometrażowego “Everything Happens for a Reason” oraz długiego metrażu “Katutura”.
„LAS DJIRBILA” reż. Thoman Ceulemens
Djibril to mały chłopiec mieszkający w niewielkiej wiosce w strefie Sehelu, w której warunki do życia stają się coraz trudniejsze. Chłopiec ma szczególną więź z dziadkiem, który opowiada mu historię o wspaniałym lesie i spotkaniu z królem zwierząt, jakiego doświadczył w dzieciństwie. Choć dorośli mają już dosyć zmyślonych historii, które Djibril nieustannie powtarza, inspirowany słowami dziadka, chłopiec postanawia udowodnić swoją rację i wyruszyć w niebezpieczną podróż w poszukiwaniu wyśnionego lasu.
THOMAS CEULEMANS – reżyser i twórca filmów dokumentalnych, które realizował m.in. w Tanzanii, Brazylii, Ghanie, Hondurasie, Birmie, Papui i Nowej Gwinei. W swoim portfolio ma również filmy krótkometrażowe, klipy wideo czy filmy animowane.

Baxu is a nine-year-old girl living with her brother and grandma in a Namibian village. Even though their life is modest and they have their problems, their care and love for each other give them happiness. Everything changes when suspicious men come to the village, looking for rhino horn. Will Baxu listen to the “giants of the savannah”, whom she speaks to in her dreams, and make a difficult decision?
FLORIAN SCHOTT – director born in Germany, since 2009 has lived in Namibia. Since 2002, he has been working as an assistant director in Europe, North America and even Antarctica. His portfolio includes many projects, from TV shows to directing for German television. Schott directed the short film “Everything Happens for a Reason” and the full-length feature film “Katutura”.
DJIBRIL’S FOREST dir. Thomas Ceulemans
Djibril is a little boy living in a small village in the Sahel region, where living conditions are becoming increasingly difficult. The boy has a special bond with his grandfather, who tells him stories about the magnificent forest and the encounter with the king of the animals that he experienced as a child. Even though the adults are fed up with Djibril’s endless stories, inspired by his grandfather’s words, the boy decides to prove himself and embarks on a dangerous journey in search of his dream forest. He finally finds it many years later…
THOMAS CEULEMANS is a director and documentary filmmaker who has worked in Tanzania, Brazil, Ghana, Honduras, Burma, Papua, and New Guinea. His portfolio also includes short films, video clips and animated films.
