Strahinja and Ababou are a young couple from Ghana who left their country in search of a better life in Europe. Repeatedly deported, they end up in a refugee camp in Serbia, where they each have different ideas about how to continue their stay there. As Strahinja works as a Red Cross volunteer, successfully tries out for the local football team and thinks about staying in Serbia, Ababou decides to leave the camp and her husband and get to the UK. Stefan Arsenijević has tackled an extremely topical subject in his poignant and tragic film. It is one of thousands of dramatic refugee stories that we hear about, read about and see every day. The story is an allegorical retelling of “Strahinja Banović,” a famous Serbian medieval epic poem.

Stefan Arsenijević – serbski reżyser i producent, twórca nagradzanych filmów krótkometrażowych, w tym nominowanego do Oscara “(A)Torsion” (2003), a także pełnego metrażu “Love and Other Crimes” (2008). Od 2015 r. jest menadżerem regionalnego programu szkoleniowego (First Films First) dla młodych reżyserów filmowych z Europy Południowo-Wschodniej, prowadzonego przez Instytut Goethego. “Dopóki mogę iść” to jego drugi film pełnometrażowy.
Stefan Arsenijević – Serbian director and producer, creator of award-winning short films, including the Oscar-nominated „(A)Torsion” (2003), and the full-length „Love and Other Crimes” (2008). Since 2015, he has been the manager of a regional training programme (First Films First) for young film directors from South East Europe, run by the Goethe Institute. 'As Far as I Can Walk’ is his second feature film.
