Damien Hauser urodził się w 2001 roku w Zurychu (Szwajcaria). Od siódmego roku życia tworzył własne filmy krótkometrażowe. W latach 2016–2020 studiował film na SAE Institute w Zurychu. W latach 2018–2020 pracował w firmie produkcyjnej Filme von Draussen, gdzie pełnił funkcje reżysera i operatora kamery.
Hauser zrealizował cztery filmy fabularne: „Blind Love” (2021) – jego debiut fabularny, który pokazywany był w serwisie Netflix Africa i miał europejską premierę na festiwalu PÖFF w Tallinnie; „Theo: A Conversation With Honesty” (2022) – film krótkometrażowy, który zdobył uwagę międzynarodowych festiwali; „After the Long Rains” (2023) – film krótkometrażowy, który zdobył uwagę międzynarodowych festiwali oraz „Memory of Princess Mumbi” (2025).

Damien Hauser was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2001. He has been making his own short films since the age of seven. From 2016 to 2020, he studied film at the SAE Institute in Zurich. From 2018 to 2020, he worked at the production company Filme von Draussen, where he served as director and camera operator.
Hauser has made four feature films: Blind Love (2021) – his feature debut, which was shown on Netflix Africa and had its European premiere at the PÖFF festival in Tallinn; Theo: A Conversation With Honesty (2022) – a short film that has attracted the attention of international festivals; After the Long Rains (2023) – a short film that has attracted the attention of international festivals; and Memory of Princess Mumbi (2025).
